The Heather Bell appears to have been a Clipper running gold to London from Australia.
Thomas Grayson Fisher is listed as an apprentice aboard the ship, he would have been about 20 years of age at this time. That is quite old for an apprentice, he must have given up on pipe making to go to sea like his father.
